Formed by Cameron and Yvonne Tate, Bridging the Gap serves under-resourced churches in inner-city Jackson by providing evangelism and outreach training, community outreach events, and ministry development. While serving in various churches in South Jackson, Cameron and Yvonne saw that their churches and other churches in the area wanted to reach their communities but needed help. Many churches did not have the finances or manpower or training to effectively reach their communities. A gap existed between the church and the community and Bridging the Gap formed as a response to this need. Through the various services of Bridging the Gap, churches are now trained, resourced, and given the tools they need to reach their neighbors.
