MINISTRY PARTNER DONATION NEEDS

ITEMS NEEDED

God’s Haven Ministries

God’s Haven serves families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness through discipleship, mentoring, housing placement, summer camps, addressing physical needs, and employment assistance.

  • Summer Camp – Each year, God’s Haven offers a summer enrichment camp for girls. This year, we are hosting more than 50 girls, many of whom are unable to attend without financial assistance.  You can help by sponsoring a scholarship for one girl for our 6-week summer camp ($360). Any financial donation helps and will be used to pay for teachers, food, and supplies. You can also help by donating food for the girls to eat at camp. Requested items include juice, chips, cookies, granola bars, pop tarts, paper goods, and more. Email mstone@gk3.b51.myftpupload.com for a complete list of requested food donations.

  • Transitional Houses and Emergency Shelter – God’s Haven offers transitional housing and emergency shelter for families in need. Each of the houses needs repairs and updates. You can assist by providing expertise/skill/time or by providing material/equipment.

  • General Needs – A pickup truck for picking up furniture, food, and items needed to meet the needs of families in Wood Village and the ministry.

If you would like to donate any of these items please contact:

Give Outrageously

Give Outrageously is a collective group of diverse people coming together to help meet our community’s needs by giving. We serve the forgotten areas with fun family events while providing for those in need. We also partner with local schools to help our teachers and administrators shape a brighter future. GO will host their annual Cool the City: Back to School Drive on July 31 from 10 AM to 2 PM. They hope to provide 100 local school children with backpacks full of school supplies at this fun community event. You can serve by setting up a booth at the event, giving financially to sponsor food for the event, or giving backpacks of school supplies. More details can be found here.

  • Wireless portable camera system – A simple security camera will help make our new location safe.
  • Large dry erase boards with erasers and markers – Two are needed
  • Jump ropes – Twenty five jump ropes for indoor/outdoor use are requested for PEARSON’s Healthy Me-Healthy Mississippi initiative. This component of the Summer Institute encourages a healthy lifestyle and promotes recreation and exercise among our youth and their families.
