Red Door Jackson exists to equip, empower and encourage children in the Fondren area of Jackson. Through a partnership between Red Door and Fondren Church, approximately 40 children from Kindergarten to 12^th grade receive one on one tutoring on a weekly basis to improve academic success and personal growth. Hands on experiences in the arts, science and mathematics are provided. Red Door collaborates with students’ families to ensure each student is best served. Students obtain a life-changing understanding of Jesus Christ through one on one discipleship and summer camp experiences. Long lasting relationships between students and mentors are encouraged through shared meals and activities outside of tutoring time. This mentoring teaches students to develop healthy family and community relationships by teaching and modeling relationship-building skills. Each year more students and tutors join this team as word spreads throughout the neighborhood of all that God is doing though Red Door.
